Stump
Jumping
Communication, Cooperation
The Challenge
For the entire group to
move completely around the circle, until they are back
at their original location, without
touching the ground, and with only one person on
a disk at any time.
Typical Presentation, Storyline or Metaphor
Breakdown
is a phrase used to describe the process by which a system
or technique can no longer continue
to function.
Some systems can run for a short time, but eventually
small defects in the technique multiply, causing
the whole system
to come crashing down. Stump jumping is a challenge
of coordination and timing. See if your group
can develop
a technique for
successfully completing this task. Begin one step
at a time, and then see if you can complete a full
revolution
of the
entire group without experiencing breakdown.
